Came in on a journey for work to grab a bite and a drink. Fabulous coffee, delicious sausage roll with pickle, beautiful bit of tiffin and most importantly a lovely atmosphere with really welcoming staff who answered all my questions with a smile. A proper coffee shop and a really lovely place to stop, can’t recommend highly enough.

I come to U.K. quite frequently & this is one of the first places I always visit. The proprietors know me and are always friendly, know my regular Americana drink. The desserts are wonderful & the attention to service is always 1st class!! There’s always a table available. Be sure to take home some of the candies as they are special too! If you visit Melbourne, be sure to stop at Forteys for a coffee & special dessert treat!! You won’t be disappointed...I promise!!

I love Forteys It really is an absolutely beautiful place to have a coffee and catch up with friends. They have a real sun trap courtyard garden which is delightful and a lovely friendly approach to each customer. Always my place of choice when meeting up for coffee with a friend.

Always come here for coffee and food, have done for years. Friendly owners Laura and Richard always have time for a chat, and make you feel welcome. Best cafe in the area, serves consistently good drinks. Definitely recommend.

Greet you like old friends as soon as you walk in the door, very warm and welcoming establishment! Wheelchair friendly! Delicious coffee, alternative milk available! I had an oat milk latte, and it was hands down one of the best ones I've had when out and about, easily in my top 3! Selection of cakes/slices. There is not a huge vegan selection, but what is available is very tasty! Fresh loaves available to buy as well.

A lovely little coffee shop, run by lovely people. With fantastic selection of coffees , pastries , cakes and bread, what’s not to like. If you are in Melbourne and fancy a coffee and a bite to eat , check out Forteys, you won’t be disappointed.

I visit Fortey’s regularly- What a lovely place to eat and be sociable, the staff (owners) have always been extremely helpful and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. As for the ridiculous review placed by Samaneh Esfandyari - I hope people overlook that - as it is NOT an accurate representation- I was there at the time and she has clearly forgotten that the staff looked after the elderly gentleman whilst she parked her car ( that surely was helpful ??), he was quite capable of going up the stairs with help and as for Service charge - there is no service charge !! We all have to pay VAT for services provided!! I would recommend she go back to London and sit in a crammed / smog ridden and expensive cafe if that’s what she’s used to - quite the opposite of Fortey’s in Melbourne!!
